Desc-This is a highly enjoyable book that provides synopsis, review, and information old science fiction movies. This author is a true fan and is highly knowledgeable on this subject. This volume could be one of the best works ever written on critical science fiction movie analysis. His reviews are fun and easy to read. Not to be missed and needs to be in everyone's collection. Later reissued in a 1 Vol set that combines his Vol 1-2. (Vol 1 covers 1950-1957 and Vol 2 is 1958-1962) The reissued combined volume (PB) is fairly easy to find. I preferred the original editions because of the neat artwork on the bright yellow covers. They are line drawings of the fantastic sci-fi aliens/creatures from the films discussed. I recall their kids mag also featured on occasion articles on the classic monster movies. They also had these pullout posters too. One was Karloff as the Frankenstein Monster running for a political office. It was an exact likeness of him. The other I recall was of Lon Chaney Jr as the Wolf Man (from House of Frank to be exact) saying come on in to the kitchen and have a bite to eat. This Hall of Fame book has a nice illustration of Lugosi as Dracula on the cover. B&W PB
